Renowned for his expertise and unwavering dedication, Luke Freeborn stands as a distinguished production designer and visionary world builder. With a lifelong commitment to the art of cinema, he epitomizes the intersection of creativity and technical mastery.
After the wild box office success of “Sonic 2”, Mr. Freeborn has recently returned to collaborate on “Sonic 3” and “Knuckles” for Paramount.
Prior to “Sonic 3” and “Knuckles”, Mr. Freeborn designed the Hawaii portion of “Murder Mystery 2” for Netflix, “The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie: Sponge out of Water”, “Take” with Jeremy Renner and Minnie Driver, and served as the Supervising Art Director for James Cameron's Oscar® nominated “Avatar 2” & “Avatar 3”.
Mr. Freeborn is also regarded for his art direction work on Oscar® nominated “Inception” and “Passengers”, as well as ADG recognized movies, “Logan”, J.J. Abrams’ epic “Star Trek”, “Thor”, “Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, “Angels and Demons”.
Earlier in his career, he was a Set Designer for ADG winner “Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events” and ADG nominated “Minority Report” and “The Cell”
His love of compelling storytelling and deep experience at all levels of production has made Luke Freeborn a powerful visionary and a leader in design for ambitious visual projects.
